Golfer unter sich

Zwei Golfer, beide 1966 geboren, der eine – Jean van de Velde (JvdV) – Professional auf der Staysure Tour, der andere – Joachim Gantner (JG) – Amateur und Volunteer beim Swiss Seniors Open, freuten sich am Freitagmittag in Bad Ragaz über ein Wiedersehen: Der französische Golfstar und der Vorarlberger Single-Handicapper hatten sich im Oktober 2016 beim Tiger Woods Invitational in Pebble Beach erstmals getroffen. Beim Anstehen am Buffet übten sich die beiden im Small Talk. Dabei ist die folgende Konversation entstanden.

JG: Bonjour monsieur.

JvdV: Bonjour.

JG: How come you participate in this event?

JvdV: I am in the States anyway because I am trying try to qualify for the Champions Tour. And I gave this one to myself as a present for my 50th birthday.

JG: Ok, so we are the same age – excellent!

JvdV: And why do you play the Tiger Woods Invitational?

JG: I got it as a birthday present from my girlfriend. First, we were in Scotland in June and played the Old Course and some other courses in and around St. Andrews. And, by the way, I also played «your hole» this year...

JvdV: Oh, you played Carnoustie as well?

JG: Mhm... And I bogeyed it!!!

JvdV: HAHAHAAAA!
